Today I can be my biggest enemy or my best friend.
Jim February 28th, 2012
Today I can be my biggest enemy or I can be my best friend. There is nothing that can hold me back except myself.
Both the power to create life and sabotage it is inside me. The enemy would prefer my not being mindful, lulled into old ways of thinking, seeing, being and relating. The enemy doesn’t want me to remember real Jim and is desperate for me to do anything or be anything but that. The enemy knows just what button to push – doubt and fear. The enemy quietly whispers a story of being bad, a failure, unworthy and inadequate. For the enemy knows that real Jim is powerful. He knows the story is a lie. He knows that real Jim is a walking, living, breathing expression of the kingdom of God in the world, and knows that real Jim is one more Jesus. The enemy knows if real Jim wakes up, does the next thing, and steps into the full expression of all that he really is that something good and beautiful and powerful will be released into the world, awakening others to themselves. The enemy knows that if real Jim embraces that peace, freedom, and contentment within himself that every connection, interaction, and relationship in this world will bring about a mutual arising of the real self in others.
Today I can be my biggest enemy or I can be my best friend. There is nothing that can hold me back except myself.
